We are…Silicon Valley’s favorite desi comedy side hustle — but don’t call it just a techie open mic. Sure, we’ve got some engineers who tell jokes instead of writing code, but we’re also stacked with designers, marketers, writers, students, hustlers, dreamers… basically anyone brave enough to tell desi jokes in Hinglish (that magical mashup of Hindi, English, and emotional damage).

Founded in 2019, Masala CC brings together the Bay Area’s desi diaspora for some spicy, soul-healing stand-up comedy. Our performers serve hot takes on immigrant life, identity, and the absurdity of Bay Area rent, all delivered with the timing of a perfectly cooked Maggi.

We’ve done everything from ticketed shows to opening for top Indian comedians, to crashing corporate events (legally), to running open mics and improv workshops. If it’s got a mic and an audience that can handle Hinglish sass, we’re there.
